Procedure of entry and departure of Arabic and foreign touristic groups
A touristic group:
Is considered a touristic group, a number of eight or more Arab and foreign individuals visiting Lebanon together in the purpose of tourism, according to a request presented by a Lebanese or foreign tourism institution.
Documents required in order to obtain a group/collective visa:
The tourism institution has to present a request to The General Secretariat of General Directorate of the General Security which includes the following:
- A photocopy of the documents of the inviting institution (commercial register or a commercial circular …..).
- Five copies of the nominal list of the touristic delegation that includes the names of the travelers (full identity) – Date of birth – Nationality – Profession – Sex – Passport number along with the issuing and the expiry dates.
- Photocopies of the passports of the delegation members.
- A commitment by the tourism institution that it will undertake full responsibility of the touristic delegation during its residence in Lebanon, as well as the institution's commitment that the whole members of the delegation will all leave jointly the Lebanese territories within the granted period provided to them.
- The responsible of the institute must present a written statement about the program of the touristic delegation, as well as the required duration of the visit (activities, the visit locations, residence).
- The institute shall keep the passports of the delegation members during their residence period in Lebanon. It must not handover the passports to their owners except when it's necessary.
- Decision will be taken within 48 hours from the date of application.
Obtaining a group/collective visa abroad:
The foreign touristic offices can obtain a group/collective visa for touristic delegations via the Lebanese diplomatic missions abroad.
Note: Touristic groups are allowed to exit the country through any border center regardless of the one they have entered through.
