A one month period valid visa, prolonged up to three months, is granted at the airport to the citizens of the following Arab countries who are coming for the purpose of tourism

Egypt – Sudan – Tunisia – Morocco - Algeria – Libya – Yemen – Somalia – Djibouti – Mauritania – Comers Island :

 Required Documents

Ø  A two ways traveling ticket and that the ticket's price is non-refundable.

Ø  A hotel reservation or a private residential address complete and clear with a telephone number.

Ø  A cash amount equivalent to the sum of two thousand US Dollars or a authenticate check of the same value from a recognized bank.

 Entrance of the Yemenite citizens to Lebanon via the frontier offices.

     The Yemenite citizens coming for the purpose of tourism via the frontier offices are allowed to enter according to the following :

-   Traders:  Are granted immediate visas, after confirming the following:

Ø  Holding a written document certifying their membership to “the chamber of commerce”.

Ø  To have “Trader” clearly written on the passport according to the regulations.

Ø  Having an amount of cash money that conforms to the trader’s situation.

Ø  A hotel reservation or complete and clear private residential address with a telephone number.

-   Physicians and Engineers: Are granted immediate visas after confirming their possession of the following:

Ø  A valid written document certifying their membership to Physicians and Engineers syndicate.

Ø  Having the Job title “Physician” or “Engineer” written on the passport according to the regulations.

Ø  A hotel reservation or a complete and clear private residential address with a telephone number.

Ø  The amount of money equivalent to the sum of 2000$ US in cash or a authenticate check from a recognized bank.

 Entrance of the Iraqi citizens to Lebanon.

The granting of immediate visas is restricted to Iraqi citizens coming for  the purpose of  tourism at the General Security department of Rafic Hariri International Airport – Beirut, after confirming their possession of the following:

Ø  The equivalent to the sum amount of 2000$ US Dollars in cash or an authenticate check certified from a recognized bank.

Ø  A hotel reservation or complete and clear private residential address with a telephone number.

Ø  Two ways traveling ticket.

The Iraqi citizens mentioned hereinafter, coming for the purpose of tourism via the airport and the frontier departments and centers are allowed to enter according to the following :

 - Traders: Are granted immediate visas, after confirming the following:

Ø  Possessing a valid written document certifying their membership to the Chamber of Commerce.

Ø  Having the Job title “Trader” written on the passport according to the regulations.

Ø  Possessing an amount of cash money that conforms to the trader’s situation.

Ø  A hotel reservation or complete and clear private residential address with a telephone number.

- Touristic delegations: Upon a commitment from the tourist agency or the traveling office organizing the traveling trips and pursuant to a prematurely approval from the General Directorate of the General Security.

- The Iraqi citizens holding passports stamped/traced with an entrance visas issued from the Lebanese delegations abroad, after confirming the hotel reservation or a complete and clear private residential address with a telephone number.

- Physicians and Engineers: Are granted immediate visas after confirming their possessing of the following:

Ø  A written document certifying their membership to Physicians or Engineers syndicate.

Ø  Having the Job title “Physician” or “Engineer” written on the passport according to the regulations.

Ø  A hotel reservation or a complete and clear private residential address with a telephone number.

Ø  A cash amount of money equivalent to the sum of 2000$ US Dollars or an authenticate check certified from a recognized bank.

- The Iraqi diplomats are granted a free entrance visa at the airport and frontier departments for the period of six months and for several renewable traveling trips.

- Entrance of servants and drivers:

 - The drivers and servants escorting the Iraqi citizens are allowed to enter Lebanon in the case of fulfillment of the following conditions:

Ø  The employer should posses a valid residence in Lebanon.

Ø  The drivers and servants should have a valid residence in Iraq.

Ø  Entering and leaving with the employer's company or one of his family members.

 - The drivers and servants fulfilling the conditions mentioned above are granted an entrance visa valid for one month period and renewable up to three months and the expression “escort” is written on their passports along with the  employer’s first and last name.

 - The drivers working for the employer are entitled to join the employer by land after confirming his presence in Lebanon provided that the car is registered to the employer's name and the driver has a valid residence in Iraq.

 - A free entrance visa is granted at the airport and the frontier departments to the servants escorting Arab and foreigner Diplomat accredited in Lebanon provided that maid or servant is written on their passports, their employer's name and that they should depart with his/her company.

 Notes      

o    The citizens of these countries are exempted from the condition of possessing the cash amount or the check provided that they are coming in according to a deposited visa issued by the General Security, as well as those that acquired a visa from the Lebanese missions abroad on the responsibility of the mission’s head or principal. Holders of these visas are allowed to enter Lebanon by land, by air and by sea.

o    Any breach, infringement concerning the given address by the passenger, whether concerning the hotel reservation or the private address, will entail the arrestment and deportation of the passenger  unless he or she notifies the General Directorate of the General Security  about the alteration pursuant to  the legal regulations.

o    Every Arab or foreigner who entered into Lebanon with a tourist visa, and violated the residence regulations for a period not exceeding three months from the expiry date of his temporary residence or his annual or permanent residence (non valid for employment, work), the transgression will be settled upon the departure at frontier departments and offices by means of a minutes or verbal process, his passport will be stamped/traced by the departure stamp after paying all the fees needed according to the regulations.

o    All Arab or foreigner residents who entered Lebanon with a work visa and violated the residence regulations are forbidden from traveling. The transgressor is informed the necessity of consulting the Ministry of Labor/Employments to obtain an acquittance, discharge, and therefore he should consult the Arab and Foreigners and special/private categories departments or one of the regional offices.

o    The citizens of these countries who are coming to attend conferences or seminars organized by local, regional or international parties are exempted from the conditions of the hotel reservation and the possession of the cash amount after presenting a document proving this invitation and that the General Directorate of the General Security will contact the organizing party in order to verify or check.

o    The visa's procedures are applied on the Arab and Foreign religious men from different sects in accordance with the nationality of each one of them if they are coming in for the purpose of tourism. As for those who are coming for other non touristic reasons, the procedures of the prematurely visa or the delegations visa from abroad are applied to them similar to the citizens of the countries they belong to.
