Ø  On the date of January 5, 1921 the decree No. 1061 was issued and in accordance with the General Security was established and given the name of the First Bureau at that time.

Ø  On the date of July 21, 1921 the decree No. 1768 was issued and according to which the Police was reestablished in Lebanon and among within the Administration of the Judicial Police and the General Security.

Ø  On the date of May 19, 1927 the decree No. 1767 was issued and according to which the performance of the General Security was regulated.

Ø  On the date of August 27, 1945 the decree No. 3845 was issued and in accordance with the Ministry of Interior Affairs established the Directorate of the General Security located in Beirut, it was interrelated with the Minister of Interior and presided by a Director.

Ø  On the date of April 28, 1950 the decree No. 1736 was issued and according to which an Administration for the la General Security was established.

Ø  On the date of July 26, 1951 the decree No. 5516 was issued and according to which the authorities of the General Security were broaden

Ø  On the dates of April 4, 1953 and January 15, 1955, the two legislative decrees No.61 and No.19 were issued and in accordance with, the General Security was reorganized by canceling administrations and establishing other departments.

Ø  On the date of June 12, 1959 the Legislative decree No. 139 that remains effective up to now was issued and according to which the General Security became a General Directorate and interrelated directly to the Minister of Interior and presided by a General Director.

Ø On the date of December 16, 1959 the regulatory decree No. 2873 was issued and in accordance with the General Directorate of the General Security included in addition to the central administration, frontier, terrestrial and maritime regional departments
