The documents required to seek the approval of marriage of a Lebanese with a foreigner woman are: 

1-     Certificate of marriage officially referred to the General Security Direction or by a letter of the legal court.  

2-     A civil extract for the marriage claimant.

3-     A copy of the passport.  

4-     A statement of celibacy from her country (single- divorced). 

5-     A copy of the valid residence in Lebanon.  

Applications seeking the removal of the preventive mention to allow the foreign spouse to acquire the Lebanese nationality require the following documents:

1-     A copy of an executed marriage contract (authentic copy). 

2-     A copy of the civil extract in the name of the spouse. 

3-     A copy of the spouse’s passport and a valid residence permit.
