Passports > Passport of an adopted child  

A)  The necessary documents to submit an application in order to obtain a Passport for a natural child

1)      Interior Security Forces Department Minutes.

2)      A duly executed certificate of birth.

3)      A civil extract for the child bearing the false names with a photo. 

4)      A document signed by the orphanage waiving the child.

5)      A judgment of the spiritual religious court concerning the acceptance of the adoption.  

6)      An act of marriage for the adopting family.  

7)      The national authority approval to accept the adoption. 

8)      A medical attestation of the infertility of one of the spouses.  

9)      A social situation survey of the adopting family. 

10)    A police record of the adopting party (not exceeding three months) 

11)    A copy of the adopting parties passports.

12)    An attestation proving the nonpayment or collection of any amount of money.

13)    A decision of the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities of acceptance of the adoption.  

14)    Birth certificates of the adopting party. 

15)    Certificates of baptism of the adopting party.

16)    License of the orphanage.

17)    A procuration of one of the spouses allowing the other to collect the passport of the adopted child on his own. 

 

Note: Documents mentioned in paragraphs 3-4-7-8-9-10-12-17 should all be authentic, documents mentioned in other paragraphs must be authentic or copies certified authentic. 

B)  Procedure of application

The application including all documents mentioned above is strictly presented in the General Security directorate by the adopting family, it is then sent to the department of nationality, passports and foreigners.
