The citizen should consult the regional office in which he originally presented the passport application.
In case the error is determined to be of the administration's responsibility:
The concerned person can choose between one of two solutions:
· Proceed to a new passport application in the same regional office, without any further charges, provided he hands over the passport that includes the error and a new photograph.
· Attend to the Lebanese Passports Department directly to proceed to the passport replacement according to current regulations; this procedure is only possible in case the person is able to present a document explaining the necessity to travel.
In case the error is not on the administration's responsibility
The concerned person is informed to present a new application to replace the passport according to the rules after the payment of the due charges.
