· The professional occupation may be indicated on the passport according to the request of the concerned Citizen, after enclosing a document certifying it.

·  Any statement or an official card issued by professional syndicates is considered as a document for the profession inscription, the title is written down and not the occupation, for example: Judge – Officer with his rank – General Director – Physician - Engineer – etc.

·  The profession will be written in Arabic, French or English according to the applicant's wish.

·  The mentioning of the profession on the Lebanese passport shall only be done at the General Directorate of General Security – Department of the Lebanese passports only after enclosing all the required documents.

· Any inscription of the career on the passport that is not done by the competent authority will entail the invalidation of the passport.

· The mention of the "Businessman" profession on the Lebanese passport shall only be done based on the request of the Citizen, upon an official statement certifying his affiliation to the "Chamber of Commerce and Industry" (Excellent and First Category)

Abroad

· The head of a Lebanese diplomatic delegation abroad is entitled to add the profession on the Lebanese passport (old or new type) according to the request of the concerned citizen among those residing in a legal way outside Lebanon, provided that an official Lebanese document concerning the profession or a professional certificate or statement issued by an official syndicate in the country of residence is enclosed.
