Ø The career could be written on the passport according to the request of the concerned individual, after enclosing a document indicating the profession.
Ø Any statement or an official card issued by professional syndicates is considered as a document for the career inscription, the title is written down and not the occupation, for example: Judge – Officer with his rank – General Director – Physician - Engineer – etc.
Ø The profession is obligatory written in Arabic, French or English according to the applicant's wish.
Ø The inscription of the career on the Lebanese passport is carried out at the General Directorate of the General Security – Department of the Lebanese passports only after enclosing all the required documents.
Ø Any inscription of the career on the passport not accomplished by the authorized authority may entail the abolishment of the passport.
- Abroad
Ø The principal of the diplomatic delegation is entitled to add the career on the Lebanese passport (old or new model) according to the request of the concerned individual, to the Lebanese citizens residing legally outside Lebanon, provided that an official Lebanese document concerning the profession or a professional certificate or statement issued by a official syndicate in the country of residence.
