A courtesy residence permit, is granted to some Arabic or foreigner citizens and in a gratis manner

The beneficiary individuals
Except for the Palestinian Refugees, a courtesy residence permit (gratis) valid for three years period and renewable, is granted for every Arabic or foreigner fulfilling the following conditions:
11_ The Arabic or the foreigner who is from a Lebanese mother, provided that he is not working.
12_ The Arabic or the foreigner wife of a Lebanese man provided that she is not working.
13_ The Arabic or the foreigner who is born in Lebanon from non Lebanese parents, provided that he is pursuing his study.
14_ The Arabic or the foreigner who is of a Lebanese origin holding a second nationality that obliges him to obtain a residence permit in Lebanon.
15_ The Diplomat from any nationality who used to work in Lebanon, and desires to live in Lebanon after his referral to retirement.
16_ The holders of the residence cards of the category "under consideration".
- A passport valid at least for a three years period or a valid Identity card with a return coupon if he is from the Syrian citizenship.
- Two recent colored photos of size 4x4.
- To fill the residence permit application personally and to sign it before the General Security functionary at the departments and centers of the General Security.
In addition to the mentioned above documents the following conditions should be fulfilled for every clause
As for article 11
Ø A birth document or any official document that proves that the mother of the residence requester is a Lebanese.
Ø An engagement at the Notary Public that he will not perform any hireling works in what concerns the adults.
As for article 12
Ø A marriage document implemented according to the rules.
Ø An engagement at the Notary Public that he will not perform any hireling works in what concerns the adults.
As for article 13
Ø A birth document implemented according to the rules or any official document proving that the residence's requester was born in Lebanon.
Ø An official statement stating that he is pursuing his studies in Lebanon.
As for article 14
Ø A birth document implemented according to the rules or any official document proving that the residence's requester was born in Lebanon.
Ø An Identity card, an extract of the civil registration or any official document proving that the residence requester is of a Lebanese origin.
As for article 15
Ø An official statement certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants proving that the residence requester had a diplomatic occupation in Lebanon.
As for article 16
The holders of residence cards from the category "under consideration" and that match one of the following conditions, a courtesy residence card (gratis) for a period of one year and renewable:
Ø If his mother is Lebanese and he is not working.
Ø The wife of a Lebanese man if she is not working.
Ø Born in Lebanon if he is pursuing his studies.
The required documents
Ø A residence card proving that the concerned individual is registered in the under consideration category ( a valid or an expired one) provided that in the application of the settlement account of the belatedness fees in extending the residence the same effective procedures for the Arab and foreigner subjects are applied.
Ø - Two recent colored photos of size 4x4.
Ø - To fill the courtesy residence permit application personally and to sign it before the General Security functionary at the departments and centers of the General Security.
If his mother is Lebanese:
Ø A birth document or any official document proving that the mother of the residence's requester is Lebanese (If his mother is Lebanese).
Ø An engagement at the Notary Public of not performing any hireling works in what concerns the adults.
If she is the wife of a Lebanese man:
Ø A marriage document implemented according to the rules.
Ø An engagement at the Notary Public that of not performing any hireling works in Lebanon.
If he is born in Lebanon and pursuing his studies:
Ø A birth document implemented according to the rules or any official document proving that the residence's requester is born in Lebanon.
Ø A official statement certifying that he is pursuing his studies in Lebanon.
Ø The current effective regulations and laws concerning the Palestinian Refugees remain applicable, and article (1) mentioned above is not applied upon them.
Ø The effective terms of granting entrance visas to Lebanon remain applicable, and the courtesy residence permit is granted for the beneficiary people listed in article (1) after they entrance to Lebanon in accordance with current applied regulations.
The applications are presented at all the centers of the General Security.
