- First: Concerning the female artist’s visas applications                                     

1-   For the female artist who had previously worked in Lebanon: The work visa permit granted to her is rejected unless she had spent abroad a period equivalent to the period in which she worked lately in Lebanon as an artist.

2-    As for the female artist who hadn’t previously worked in Lebanon and who fulfill the above mentioned condition: the night club’s owner, his representative or his manager should present to the Arab’s and foreigners department – Artists’ section - the following documents:

Ø  To fill a visa application.

Ø  A photocopy of the artist’s passport signed by the artistic mediator on his liability for bringing her over from abroad.

Ø  A photocopy for the prematurely work contract signed by both the night club’s owner and the artist, the contracts sent via fax or internet are accredited.

Ø  A commitment from the night club owner to send the artist back home in a period of 72 hours or when an airplane is available, in the case of any violation.

Ø  An identification card for the artist including her complete identity.

Ø  A bank guaranty of one million Lebanese pounds for each artist.

 - Second: Concerning the wok / job process:

Ø  The application is subjected to the General Directorate of the General Security’s decision.

Ø  The entrance visas are granted to the female artists from all countries except Israel and countries exporting hand labor.

Ø  The period of executing the visa is four days from the date of presenting the application.

 - Third: The Interviews:

Ø  Upon bringing over a new female artist to Lebanon, the frontier department grants the female artist a transit visa for a period of 24 hours, within which she consults the Arab and foreign department accompanied by the night club’s owner or his manager, carrying along her passport and two personal photos where she signs a report and a work contract after she get well informed about its content and all regulations that she should follow.   

Ø  The work contract period is specified by three months. 

- Forth: The medical examination:

Ø The Arab and Foreigner’s department gives the female artist an examination report to consult the General Security’s physician who examines her and gives her a test report to perform the necessary laboratory tests that includes pregnancy test. In case the test’s result is positive, the test is repeated after twenty days from the date of the first test.

Ø In case of any medical impediments according to the physician's test or to the laboratory tests, the artist is deported on the night club owner’s expense within 72 hours or when an airplane is available, and an entrance ban announcement is issued until further notice.

Ø An amount of 50.000 L.L. is receipted for every medical examination by the General Security’s doctor and that upon a receipt.

 - Fifth: The Residency

Ø The General Directorate of the General Security – Arabic and Foreign department - grants the female artist a residence permit for the period of one month renewable monthly for a maximum period of six months from the date of entrance and after collecting the legal fee.

Ø The Arabic countries citizens and the members of International bands are granted a residence permit for one month period renewable monthly after collecting the legal fee.

 Sixth: The female artist’s entrance and departure from the country.

Ø Upon her arrival to the country, the artist is welcomed by the investor or the manger of the night club, provided that the General Security's department of Rafic Hariri International Airport will undertake confirming it.

Ø The artist should when leaving the country be at the airport three hours before the take off of the airplane accompanied by the night club’s investor (the manager or his assistant) and she is only allowed to leave directly to her country.

Ø In the case that the night club’s investor or the manager didn’t show up in order to receive the female artist, or if she was not departed for any reason, she will be arrested and transferred to the investigation  and procedures’ department and the Arab and Foreigners’ department – Artists section - will be informed of the issue for the treatment. 

 - Seventh: The female artist’s work regulations.

1-     The female artist must perform a daily artistic show from ten P.M. in the night until five A.M. in the morning in exception of the sickness conditions (a medical certification from accredited physician at the General Security) and her recess day (one day every week).

2-     The rest hours allowed for the female artist.

Ø She stays at the room reserved for her from five A.M. in the morning until thirteen P.M. in the afternoon.

Ø She is allowed to leave from thirteen P.M. in the afternoon until eight P.M. in the evening, the telephone number and the car’s registration card of the person accompanying her are registered and she is forbidden to go out after that hour unless she's going to the night club where she works.

Ø The female artists’ weekly day off is from thirteen P.M. until five P.M. at dawn.

Ø The artists working at the night club are allowed to do the rehearsal outside working hours in condition to take a prematurely approval from the Arab and Foreigners department-Artists section.

3-     The night club owner holds a record containing the name and surname of  the female artists so they can sign when arriving and leaving, and to note also all urgent accidents (sickness – weekly recess – necessary remarks) and the residence address.

4-     The night club’s owner organizes a schedule for the female artists weekly recess, and he deposits a copy of it at the Arab and Foreigner’s department.

5-     The female artist is forbidden to sit with  the clients until after she finishes her papers and after the laboratory tests results are issued.

6-     The artist must preserve the order and the general moral decencies and not to perform any actions or behaviors that generate noise or annoyance for the hotel’s residents or for the neighborhood.

7-     The female artist is forbidden to reside in any place other than the hotels and authorized houses unless only in exceptional cases decided by the General Director of the General Security.

8-     The night club’s owner must secure a healthy residence for female artists and he must present a schedule about that upon request.

9-     The night club’s owner must provide the Arab and Foreigners department with a list of the female artists’ residence places and should declare about urgent modifications.

10-     The families are forbidden to enter night clubs, and it is forbidden to hire the foreigners for cleaning jobs in the night clubs.

 Eighth: Permanence of the Female artist outside Lebanon.

1-     The female artist working period in Lebanon must not exceed six months continuously, and she is forbidden to return to Lebanon to work again as an artist unless she spends abroad a time equal to her working period during the period before she left, the Arabic countries citizens and members of international bands are excluded from this arrangement.

2-    The female foreigner who had previously worked as an artist or a masseuse is forbidden to enter Lebanon for tourism or for practicing a different handcraft unless a year had elapsed for her residence abroad after her last departure as an artist, and according to a prematurely approval from the General Directorate of the General Security.

3-     A- female artist is forbidden to marry a Lebanese citizen during her residence in Lebanon, and her entrance to Lebanon is rejected unless one year had elapsed.

4-     As for the female artist who marries a Lebanese man outside Lebanon, and stayed abroad for more than one year:

-     She is allowed to enter Lebanon according the procedures applied for her nationality, after presenting a marriage contract, legally implemented according to the common regulations.

5-     As for the female artist who marries a Lebanese man outside Lebanon, and her residence abroad did not exceed the period of one year:

-     She is allowed to enter Lebanon upon a prematurely decision from the General Directorate of the General Security and after presenting her marriage contract abroad implemented according to common regulations.

       6-     The concerned female is informed upon her entrance to Lebanon that she must consult the office of nationality affairs and passports  accompanied by her husband within 48 hours.
