Ø  The foreigner should be present at one of the regional departments of the General Security located within the applicant's residential area along with his passport or a valid identity card as well as a return coupon if he is Syrian.

Ø  The General Directorate of the General Security can extend the temporary residence time after time up to a maximum period of one year from the date of the entrance to Lebanon.

Ø  The temporary residence is granted to those entering with a work permit where this category should obtain a work permit and a yearly residence permit within three months from the date of entrance to Lebanon, and in the case of failure, the employer is obliged to consult the Labor Ministry in order to acquire a quittance for his employee and he should, jointly with his employee, consult the General Security's regional department located within his residential area in order to obtain a temporary stay that allows him to obtain a work permit.
